WHAT YOU HAVE TO KNOW
01
The new law: why you now need B2 English
A new regulation of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education defines which language certificates non-EU students must present to study in Poland. It covers both Polish and foreign languages and sets a minimum B2 level in listening, reading, speaking, and writing.
Key points:
-
Applies to non-EU citizens who want to study in Poland.
-
Requires B2 level or higher in the language of instruction.
-
Uses one official national list of accepted certificates – universities across Poland refer to this same list, not their own separate rules.
02
LanguageCert – officially recognised for admissions in Poland
The regulation’s list of accepted English certificates includes LanguageCert with three exam options at B2 level or higher.
Polish universities are now updating their admission pages to reflect this law and are explicitly naming these LanguageCert exams as valid proof of English.

3. Focus on the question types you find hardest and repeat those.
TAKE THE EXAM FROM HOME
You can comfortably take the exam from your own room, supervised via webcam and microphone. You don't have to travel to a test centre and the exams are available 24/7!
What you'll need:
- A quiet room
- A computer or laptop
- Stable internet, webcam, and microphone
- A valid ID document
FEEL SAFE ABOUT RE-TAKES
Take2 is an optional re-sit service that works like an exam insurance policy:
- It is a low-cost add-on you buy together with your exam.
- If you fail the covered module, you get one extra attempt without paying the full exam fee again.
- If you pass on the first try, you simply don’t use the re-sit (Take2 is non-refundable).
